Installed CD43- impressions

So I just got my CD43 unit and installed it yesterday. WOW.

I had replaced the amp and 3 blown speakers in the system a while ago, but this was the last step. Exceeded my expectations. The sound staging is quite good, lows and highs were far better that expected. If you are looking to do a stereo upgrade that works with the factory amp and speakers and is plug and plug. Look no further. Next is the dice adapter and I'll be good to go.

Long story short, you want to ditch the tape deck. Spend the extra cash do it right, go CD43.

End transmission.

What kind of amp did you put in?
I'm real jealous.

I replaced the broken factory amp with another factory amp.

You cannot go to an aftermarket easily as the crossovers are built into the amplifier and the speakers are matched the frequency output of the amp/crossovers.
But it's the source of the signal, ( the head unit) that makes the dramatic increase in sound quality.

It's just a quick swap for the head unit correct? (As long as you have the code and somewhat know what your doing)

Yes, it's the same 17 pin connector. Plug and play, less that 10 minutes to install. I did find that the CD43 unit is just ever so slightly a bit larger depth wise that the stock one, the face of the deck protrudes about 1/16" further that the stock one, but its hard to notice. But it looks like it belongs in the dash.
