Mein Auto: 1990 BMW 525i E34
Need help and advice for 1990 E34 525i

Can someone please give me sone advice. I just replaced the clutch in my E34 and now after install of new clutch and bleeding if the hydraulic pump for it, it STILL WONT CHANGE gears please help with any advice possible I'm tired of paying these so called expert mechanics and their BS. I need my baby back on the road!!!

Your master cylinder could be out. You have the slave cylinder at the tranny and the master cylinder on the pedal at the firewall. If you have a new clutch and slave cylinder then the master cylinder is your only other culprit, if not then you have major tranny issues, unless the "EXPERTS" didnt put the shifter assembly back properly.

I please no don't let it be the tranny... would the clutch going out blow the tranny? Cuz before that clutch went out tranny was fine no issues at all and as far as the assembly goes idk that's why I paid them cuz they supposedly knew what the hell they were doing

The hydraulic clutch part I believe is just fine as well because of the bleeding procedures. Cuz it's first the master then the slave and that all went accordingly To my knowledge... As I used Jessie bible to the e34 n a website that tells you things any manual doesn't

Get under and watch the clutch slave while some one works the pedal. Does it move correctly? Does it allow easy selection of 1st? If first is an easy select with the engine running then it is not the clutch or its installation. Look elsewhere.
