Honestly, Greg, if you weren't already attached to it, the avatar you are currently using would be perfect for CJ. My second choice would be the baby with the hammer

Jon - any chance of setting up Joel with an avatar?

Also, how can I change mine?

Go to your user CP, edit avatar, and see if you are allowed to do it yourself. I know I am, but Jon may have set a permission for me or something. Worth a check.

I suspect that Jon set an option for you that won't become available to the masses until they hit the 1000 posts mark. I'm halfway there, so no biggie either way

I've got the option, but how do I get the wonderful picture of a baby with a hammer on there?

Navigate mouse over pic, right click, save picture as...done. Then upload pic using edit avatar function under User CP.

You can resize it using IrfanView or via another method of pic editing. Yes, you can.

I don't think you can resize animated gifs without losing the animation. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, as I'd like to know how to do it (and with what program).

You are correct. I just tried to resize CJ's pic and lost the animation. Someone will know how to do it, I bet.

You need a program to resize each frame of the animation. I don't know how to do it but I know that is what he needs to do. Aren't I helpful?

That's correct Jeff. I did try to resize those gif files but animation is lost in the process. Let me figure out something. I'm using Jasc Paintshop pro.

I just downloaded a trial copy of Zoner GIF Animator 5 and it seems to do the trick. Only problem is keeping the original image centered (it wants to crop the sides when changing the size). Will have to play with it some more.
