Mein Auto: 3-series touring
iDrive button knob push does not work

Hi all,

I am new to the forum, but I am a very happy owner of a BMW 3-series touring (2008). The car is equipped with the CCC-navigation system (I think I have the update-1, no split screen) and since a few months the controller knob is acting mysteriously: at random times, the controller stops responding to a push on the knob. Rotating works and all systems seem to work fine (the wheel buttons operate normally and navigation still runs). After a while (between 5 to 60 minutes to never), all 'clicks' seem to be executed all at once and the system is fully operational again.

Any hints on what could be the problem here ?

Kind regards,

Vincent
