Don't worry! I won't pull a tightie and end up at Buttonwillow tonight. LOL!

Thanks man. It's nice to see you, solstice, GB and some other familiar faces here. I don't have any issues with the missing vent. I'm in SoCal, so I drove around with that vent off over the last couple of weeks to see how I would deal on really hot days. I was okay with it, so when my ///M4 arrived I had no issue going forward with the AWRON plans. If I lived in Vegas or Arizona, I might've thought twice because there is a slight difference, but it's livable due to the corner vent blowing strong; I aim the direction of air coming from the second vent centrally. For those of you living up in the Northwest, you'll be fine. The gauge is well worth it to me.

Don't mind me... padding my post count here...

This reminds me of rushing the 1,200 break-in miles.

Lol! I'm 300 miles in since Saturday afternoon. I'm trying to slow down these first 1200.

I got about 500 miles after the first 2 days. I am over a 1,000 miles now. 1,200 miles service scheduled for this Friday morning. Need to drive some more to get more miles, then I can really step on it.

You're going to love that freight of an M3. It's intoxicating!

Yea, I got black in mine. Had oyster in my 335 and had to work at keeping it looking clean. Now I need to find a good window tint because it's HOT here in Florida and those black seats will toast my A** in the summer.

It'll definitely take some upkeep, but luckily I'm one OCD sonofab|tch!

Yeah, I know some folk like the light colors but I could never rationalize getting such light leather - must be a giant pita to keep clean!

It's a blast. Lots of cars to drive. No M's though. I can see the M2 will be a rocket.

Who organizes these events - BMW or local dealerships at the behest of BMW? And where are they held, presumably some dealership? Sure I had a promo months back but can't recall the details.

It depends on your habits. If you're the "hop in and go without wanting to pay any attention to what you're doing" type, light interior definitely isn't the way to go.

Yes, it was sponsored by East Bay BMW dealers and hosted by BMWNA.

Tell you the truth, my Oyster interior looked fantastic. The reason I didn't get the bright white interior on my M3 was because it looked TOO WHITE and kinda druggy at first. I have to admit it has grown on me after seeing pictures of it in YMB for months. I hope my YMB with the black wheels and black interior don't look to much like a kids car...lol

P.S. I dropped my car off at the service department this morning. There is nothing sexier than seeing your own personal vehicle in motion from the vantage point of an observer. It adds so much perspective!

I love the new carbon fiber interior inserts. Better than what was in the E Series M3s.
