Yes. There is an 8 year / 82000 mile extended warranty on the wastegates. It's implemented as part of the emissions warranty, which carries to all owners.

Rattling on start up, when rpms come down, and getting engine malfunction on high revs. Car isn't really going "limp" I feel some sort of loss power but not driving like crap.

Rattling noise can also be the exhaust flap. It rattles during startup then goes away. Wastegates are usually just noisy and keep rattling. No power can be carbon buildup in the intakes or weak plugs, or air starvation. Hard to tell unless you know the history but wastegates are covered at your mileage. I have 57K miles and just had carbon blast done. Much better and smoother power like back at 25K.

If you are getting engine malfunction on high revs....fuel injectors are very good culprits. Had mine changed out at 38K and never looked back but did have that problem when pushing it. Does Engine malfunction light stay on?

Other possibilty is air pressure loss in the charge pipe (they crack) which will trigger engine malfunction light and make you feel like you are dragging a piano. It will go off after restart but then come back on when you try to step on it. $250 part and easy to replace.

Well I have noticed that warm or cold my left exhaust flap seems to stay closed. The thing that sells my theory of waste gates is the fact that when parked and I rev my car when the RPMs come down it sounds like tin cans. Right now my car is at Infiniti otherwise I would check vacuum system. Should I just pick it up from Infiniti and take it to BMW? I feel like BMW is going to get me the run around since they aren't making money of me. I've been hitting my nails for 4 days straight. Just bought the car 2 weeks ago.

Yes. At least they'll let you know what the issue is and get there faster. If they want to charge you for stuff other than wastegate under warranty, take it to an independent BMW shop and pay half the price. If its the wastegates, you should be covered.

If you look at the left vacuum canister you can notice that the left hose is pretty much completely separated... Could this be my unsettling issue for 30FF and rattling?

Update for everyone....

I replaced the vacuum canister, it took about 5 minutes. The problem is fixed. No rattling, 30FF, and my car feels like a best again.
