Smile Vacuum Canisters?

I have posted a couple threads on here and thanks to everyone I feel smarter than the average bear now about my 335i. Okay, so I've been experiencing rattle, engine mal function, and seems like no boost. I was completely sold on the fact it was my waste gates but check out the attachment the left canister nipple is about to completely break off and it cause a pressure leak. Could this be responsible for the noise at start up and declaration that waste gate is notorious for?

My exhaust valve on driver side always wants to stay closed for some reason as well on start up. I might just golf tee mod.

So if I unplug both vacuum lines from the canister and still hear that rattle it's not my waste gates but if I do, it's my waste gates?

I have a dealer appointment this week but I don't want to dish the cash out if it's something I cN fix for cheaper.
