00 740il mid-bass issue...
I can't figure out what's wrong with my mid-bass speakers. I have a throbbing, almost unbearable blown speaker sound coming from them. All other speakers work fine but I cant turn up my stereo because the mid-bass is so horrible sounding. At first I replaced all 4 with pioneers because they were dry rotting so I was certain they were just blown and although this helped a little, the loud, throbbing bass is still there. It's even worse with CD's or any song with actual bass. I can get away with rock or oldies because they have more high end. I disabled my DSP and this helped a little, then I enabled DSP but turned every setting to 0 and this helped quite a bit but it's still not gone. Even have the throb when tone bass is turned almost to 0. There has to be something wrong with the stereo or DSP since the 4 mid-bass speakers are brand new. Hell, Even when I faded everything to the front the 4 mid-bass speakers still had a little bit of a throb to them. Any ideas what's going on. It literally sounds like all 4 are going to blow up with my volume even marginally turned up. This issue came with the car btw, i've put 2,000 miles on it, 130,500 currently.
