BMW comfort access stopped working!!!!

hey guys, i have a topic thats had a discussion before, but mine is different. i have a 2006 bmw 325i with CA. it was working fine yesterday morning, my sister drove my car and she actually inserted the key into the slot then turned the car on, i usually just put my foot on the brake and turnit on without placing the key in the slot, since its easier, and is a handier feature. after she got home my car no longer opened using the CA feature when i got to open the door, it no longer locks when i use my finger to lock it from the door handle, and it requires the key to be inserted into the slot or it wont turn on, i dont think it needs batteries as the car still locks and unlocks from the key fob but i might be wrong..... someone please help me with a solution, ive been searching everywhere online and hadnt found a resolution.. is there a way to reset the system?? by coinsidence does the battery need to be replaced? can i reset the CA system?? any responses or tips would be greatfully appreciated!!
