First X5 pics from Hawaii

Just washed...clay barred and waxed the X5...those bastards at Matson left it sitting on the dock in Oahu for two weeks before sending it to Maui...so the detail job I just had done on it was completely ruined not to mention the paint felt like sand paper thanks to the combo of salt water and rain...

after treating her right...I drove up to kula and took a few pics of it, you can see kahului in the background...

Why ya gotta torture us with the pics of a Hawaiian background? X5 looks great, background is beautiful... take more... some sunsets too. God I want to go back.

Beautiful scenic backgrounds !!

Interesting grill treatment, too. Did you make that or have it custom made?

I had the grill custom made...It consists of a speed grill from a GMC Yukon that has been black powder coated...then the kidney grills were dechromed and painted BMW sapphire black metallic to match the ride...obviously they had to cut a slit out of the drivers side kidney to allow the hood latch to come through so they put a rubber grommet around the hole...I think it looks pretty cool cause other than the headlights the whole ride is blacked out...the tailights, third brake light and side markers have been smoked...and i got realtively dark window tint to match...

Very nice.

If you get the chance, I'd love to see some shots closer up.

Beautiful!

My wife and I are actually going to Hawaii on the 24th. We will be taking an inter-island cruise, and visiting four islands in 7 days. I am psyched!!

Jeff, I recall seeing a few pics of Ronin009's 4.6is. I found that tread with some closeup pics of his custom grill.
