I'm still debating whether or not the rings are too ghetto (I like em on E39 though), but I like seeing that they're making the installs more and more hack-free all the time.

Maybe they'll get to the point where we can just wish them on.

I just received my kit today and hooked them up to my car in the middle of the day and they are very bright. The quality is super too. I can't wait to get them on my car!

That's almost 30% less than the GB price. Come on...the vendor still has to make some money or it's not worth it. $280 is already a great price.

The street price for an individual buyer is going to be $335.

Will these work on E46 models with non-Xenon headlights (H7 Halogens)?

Are the Installation Instructions available to read before ordering?

How long do they take to install?

No cutting/drilling???? The UUC version says that too BUT if you look at the step-by-step instructions they show a big 'ole drill and a hole...

I think if you keep the stock (headlight) color, it does not look too cheap...

And how do you turn them on? I would like a separate switch down near the DCS button, but I think they may turn on with the fog lamps (I don't like that).

OK, but this is rather vague (from the link):

"To wire Angel eyes as Daytime running lights, the power distribution and ECU box can be opened and a convenient switch powered can be located with a test light. the green stripped wires is a good choice due to accessibility and wires size. Depending on model and year of your car. route hot wires from light box to this point and using splice, tap into power wires. A ground for each light box can be located easily at the brown wire adjacent to corner lamp assembly"

Are there better instructions about "opening the ECU box" etc., i.e, does it require a wiring diagram? If it is a straight forward electriacl job, then OK. If not, I would like to know what to expect!
