Huge marketing incentives
Any idea why such large incentives are being offered for the 3er's right now? Is it because BMW thinks people are holding back from buying E46s due to the upcoming E90? From sentiment here, I'd have thought people were rushing out to buy the E46, but I guess we're a bit different from the "typical" BMW consumer?

I would say you hit the nail on the head.
People (and by people I mean Joe Sixpack, not Joe Enthusiest) seem to be weary of purchasing a car if there will be a fresh replacement available within the next few months. BMW wants to make sure they move the rest of the E46's.

when i was buying my my2k e46, i saw a 99 m3 go for 11% off msrp.

3800 clams! For an E46 330i!
WOW! With marketing support like that who needs European Delivery!
 But, that's if you can even order an 05 330i anymore!?

330i on order - due mid Feb.
What are the odds they'll extend these through February? Anyone care to venture an educated guess? $3800 IS huge.

got that much off of my mom's 330i at the end of 2003. Took delivery on 11/1 - it was the last new 2003 model in Houston.
