Pano roof problem

2nd day of ownership and already a problem, the pano roof is stuck in the tilt position, any direction that the button is pressed it just lowers like its about to close then tilts back up, how fustrating.

called the dealer and was told "its not a unique problem", still waiting for word on when they are going to schedule an appointment

anyone had or has this problem?

"Re-initialize" the roof

This is a quick DIY fix that has worked for several people. With the enine running, press and hold the roof control button for about 20-30 seconds. Press it in (up), not forward or back. If you accidently let go, just start over but hold it for the full time. This should re-intialize the roof. Do this one time, and everything will work correctly in the future.

It'll work. Your dealer, like mine, forgot to initiate the moonroof at delivery. And apparently yours didn't even know what they did wrong.

It might take longer than 30 sec to start the initiation process. I failed the first attempt coz I was getting impatient. Hold it as long as it takes and the process will start eventually.

If the roof is open, it should close all up when the re-initialization is done. Dealer forgot to do mine, too, and mine urped by only allowing the shade to close 2 inches at a time. Made for a very frustrating first few days!

yes!, thanks to everyone that helped me on this forum, I held the middle button (pressing in) for 30+ sec, then the roof went through all the phases of opening the shade, vent, tilt, full open, and close. now the roof is functional

thank you all again!
