E34 Power Seat Question
My father gave me his 1990 525I, actually gave it to my daugther who is getting her license (nice first car). Anyway, the driver side power seat does not move backwards. It moves up, down and forwards, so my thinking is it is the power seat switch. Are there separate motors to move the seat forward and back, or does the same motor do the same job.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

In my E36 there is a single motor that runs forward/backword. The switch just reverses polarity to switch direction.
