Snow tires and Euro Delivery
Ok, so I just read through the posts about summer tires and snow. Now I'm terrified because I'm doing ED in February. We're trying to go down to Italy to avoid snow, but I'm sure it can't be avoided in the Alps on the way down. Is there a way to get snow tires on loan for a few days in Germany/Italy? No don't laugh at me!

I'll be there in mid March with the M3. I understand that winter in Germany is over by then, but none-the-less, we're not using the car for our voyage to Milan from Munich. We're taking the rail. The car will be on a boat by then.

No I plan to drop it back off in Munich. I just wanted to go to Italy for a few days, since there's less likely to be snow in Italy than anywhere else. Still can anyone comment on the drive from Munich to Italy?

Brenner Pass
I would not want to do the Brenner Pass in February if it is snowing. You may have to rent snow chains just to take the Autobahn over the pass. It is a beautiful drive when the weather is nice.

They keep the highways very clear over there... I've done European Delivery with Volvo, and it's a great experience.... The autobahns are fun, even in a Cross Country wagon... Anyway, Germany is known for its great highway system, and you should be fine, like the others said, if you stick to the Autobahn.... Have fun!
