Problems..Problems..

Dear all,

Just got myself a 99 318i. There are a few issues with the car and I hope I can get answers here..

1. Both front windows rattle when I drive over uneven roads..
2. Sometimes my transmission stays on 3rd during hard accerlation..
3. At times the front interior light does not light up..only the rear pillar lights come on all the time..when I open/unlock using remote key..
4. the remote key does not unlock the doors when I press unlock..especially my car is parked under the hot sun..

What I think, but i'm no mechanic...

Question: 1. Both front windows rattle when I drive over uneven roads..
Answer: Take the door panel off and see if there are any loose screws?

Question: 2. Sometimes my transmission stays on 3rd during hard accerlation..
Answer: How many miles are on it? Maybe needs new trans. fluid or going bad...

Question: 3. At times the front interior light does not light up..only the rear pillar lights come on all the time..when I open/unlock using remote key..
Answer: Maybe the previous owner messed with the wiring? Check the contact points where the bulbs go in and replace the bulbs.

Question: 4. the remote key does not unlock the doors when I press unlock..especially my car is parked under the hot sun..
Answer: I would replace the battery in the remote. This may also be a wiring problem.

Where did you get the car? Kinda scary
