First Post & pics

Hey folks. First off, I'd like to thank this board for contributing to my purchase back in August. After 4500 miles, I'm convinced that this is the best decision I've ever made.

I spent a good 3.5 hours detailing this past weekend, and although tiring, my effort was well worth it.

Blackfire Wheel & Tire cleaner
Blackfire Tire Gel
Dawn
Klasse AIO x1
Klasse SG x1

I know this thread is useless without pictures.. so here goes

Welcome! Nice car! Very shiny, too.

But, er... it's not a 330ci. It's a 330i.

Anyway, enjoy it!!!

Thanks for catching that. Original plan was to get the ci, which I still think is a beautiful car!

Nice automobile; I too, feel your pain (the ZHP's wheels are a BEAR to clean).
Happy motorin'!

What did you use on the black rubber/plastic bump guards that surround the car? I assume you washed normally but did you treat it with Klasse or use the Blackfire that you used on the tires or something else?

Thanks for the kind words. My friends make fun of me because I'm always looking back after I park.. uh bro, she's still there...

Wheelman, excellent, I mean EXCELLENT, color choice
Ed, I think cleaning our rims is the most tedious part of the whole process
(thanks for getting the Pac-10 some respect!)
Shizat, those brushes work wonders, though it's still hard to clean the inner rims
Jetstream, I used Aerospace 303 protectant on the plastic trim.. sprayed on mf towel and wiped it on.. klasse leaves an ugly residue on the plastic.

I was hoping for a decent stretch of dry weather in the Bay Area, but apparently, mother nature has other ideas

Until a month ago, I had an e30 with Alpina wheels. I LOVED those wheels, but they are a pain to keep clean. That's why when I bought my e46, I was happy to have the current sport package type 119 wheels...SOOOO easy to clean. All that said, the ZHP wheels are really pretty!
