I'm not liking the new look at all. But I'm sure there will be plenty of cosmetic changes in frame, etc. so I suppose it's not fair to judge the new design this early on.

If that is the new X5 design, maybe the new look will grow on me (and those who may agree with me)...

Thanks for the post, Alex!

Thanks for the pics. I haven't seen these pics but I think it's the same test mule seen in Autoweek. It's so hard to tell what the final version will look like since this one is so cladded up but I'm pretty sure it'll be ugly.

Yep UGLY is correct. The 2005 model X5 may be my last.

Thx for the post Alex. All I see so far is it will have LED taillights. Overall judgement of the next gen. X5 will have to wait.

Who knows - if this next X5 turns out ugly, then all our vehicles will be collector's items (just like the E38 is in light of the E65)!

Either you'll like the new one and upgrade (you and BMW gain).

OR

You won't like the new one and you'll retain a beautiful gem (you win again).

Well, I am glad that I got my 04 4.4i. If the new one is going to look like that as final, that is one UGLY suv (or you might as well call is a wagon with birth defect) !
