Yet another new owner

Yep, it finally happened. After many years of lusting after a BMW, my dream finally came true on Tuesday when I took delivery of a 2005 330i w/ Sport package. And let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait. It's everything I thought it would be and so much more. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that I'm in love with my new car. (Can you tell that I'm happy?)

Before I go any further I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Adrian (aka adrian's bmw) and everyone at Nalley BMW in Decatur, GA for going above and beyond to make this bimmerfest member a happy camper. You guys rock!! Let me tell you, this guy is THE guy to go see if you're looking for a new BMW. He was great every step of the way and gave me a great deal. I couldn't ask for more.

I originally ordered the Black Sapphire but had a change of heart and decided to go with the Silver Gray and I'm so glad I did as the color looks awesome. I think it has lots of character as it changes with the surrounding lighting. Before I took delivery I thought it looked dull in some settings but I haven't thought that once since Tuesday. I can't wait until the summer when the Atlanta sun is shining down on it. Hopefully it'll have some clears on it by then. It's gonna be big pimpin

I know all you guys with your fancy ZHP's are looking down on my lowly ZSP but I don't care. I love my car and my car loves me Ok, I think I've said too much

Cool! Congratulations on the new car. I'm sure you will enjoy it! I highly recommend joining the BMW CCA they have a good magazine that is worth the subscription alone.

Hey Congratulations!! That sounds like a beautiful car. I love silver gray too. Enjoy driving this car everyday and let us know when you can post some pictures.

Another congratulations, and welcome to the club! I just got my '05 330i in December, and I didn't even get ZSP . I had a tough time deciding on color too, but I did get Sapphire Black and it's cool especially in full sun. Like they said though, every color looks good (well, maybe except that 1 which I won't mention). What's your interior? Have fun getting to 1250 -- at least you don't have snow in Georgia, right?

Post some pics ASAP! I have the ZSP option also, it's more luxury then the ZHP. I wish I could've got the look of the ZSP with the performance features of the ZHP (suspension, engine upgrades, rear diff). I didn't want the cube trim or the alcantara wheel, etc and I wanted the crome around the windows (looks good with sapphire black)...so I went with the ZSP. Plus I like the ZSP front bumper better then the ZHP, don't get me wrong the M-tec ZHP bumper is great, but the ZSP bumper looks more "Euro" and I like that look. I guess I'll just have to "suffer" with the lower performance of the ZSP.

I too was in the same boat with my heart set on Sapphire Black till I saw Silver Grey in person. Fell in love with the colour and knew straight away it was the colour I wanted.

Now all you have to do is curb your desires and keep to the break-in speed/rmp limit

So, after 5 days I'm only up to 300 miles. In response to markl53, we don't normally get much snow down here but this huge ice storm in the South East isn't helping much. My first weekend with the car and I haven't been able to take it out once.

I also ruled out the ZHP for the same reasons as Moderato. Ultimately I didn't like the interior of the ZHP as much as a wood/leather combination and in my opinion the chrome window trim does look a lot better than the shiny black trim. I wouldn't have minded those rims though.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I'll be sure to post some when I can get my hands on a digital camera.

Being only 2 months into owning my first BMW, I know EXACTLY how you're feeling .

It's interesting - the wife and I went back and forth on the ZHP's shadowline trim. We liked the chrome better with the grays, blues, black, and other darker colors. You really need a brighter color to contrast with the shadowline trim. Unfortunately we hate white and electric red, so we went with the only remaining choice: IMOLA RED!
