I do think it looks sportier than the 5er, in my opinion. However, it will get an aero kit in a couple of years, just like the e46 did. It was already captured on the 'Ring testing the kit (which I wish were available now).

It's a pretty drastic change, I agree, but I think the e30 to e36 progression was way more drastic At the time of that change, I thought the e30 was much sportier looking too, as you do with the e46 vs. e90.

Now that I've seen more pictures I feel that it's safe to say that the new interiors just don't work for me (and this goes for the 5er and 7er too). It seems that all pretense of "sport" has been banished save for the round gauges. Put a column shifter in the E90 and you would have a very nice Buick.

That's great! Thanks for letting us know, and I'm glad you are happy with your current car.

This is all about opinion. Nobody's going to make a person's brain work differently to determine "I like that" versus "That's nasty" with a few words on an internet forum.

I'll be happy in May, when I get my e90 330, and I could care less if you think it sucks, really. A Large portion of the people here hating the car now, will wind up with one in a few years anyway. (say what you want now, but I'd wager it to be the fact).

The opinion wasn't intended to persuade you to think differently. It is intended as constructive criticism to persuade BMW to build a car more to my liking. If enough like-minded potential buyers say so, then maybe they will listen. If not, I've lost nothing.

Why is there a pic of a wildebeest or something at the end of the set?

I agree with LarryN, I am convinced that the E90 will soon become what everyone around here "likes". Count me in, I already like it!

Amen. I'm quite disappointed with the overall blandness of the car. People may diss the 5 but at least it was edgy and different. You notice a 5 on the street. A new 3 will pass amongst the other cars like any rental fleet taurus or buick. Where's the crouched, ready to pounce, athletic look or the super short, stubby front end? It's all so big and bland!

Actually, I think M Aero on the sedan was available as an option on 99 328s.

Ugh. I hope not. It looks like a mishmash of design ideas. A weird crease down the side, pinched off headlights with a droopy nose. I don't get it.

The interior is even worse. Everything of interest is angled AWAY from the driver.

The electronic oil level indication system is going to be way cool, though.

Hopefully this iteration won't be overpriced and underpowered like the rest of BMW's line.

The light color is Lemon, and unfortunately it doesn't appear in the ordering guide for the US market. This is one color scheme I could really go for because of the crisp contrast with the black interior panels and carpet. Terra is nice but it looks very dark in the configurator pics.

Agreed, lemon is a very nice color. It drew a lot of attention across the german boards too.

I agree as well. If it were available here, and I didn't have 2 kids.. I'd be all over that. It would look pretty sexy on a coupe too.

Unless something shows up from another carmaker that impresses me, I'm about 75% sure in couple of years I'll buy a E90. I'm just not very impressed with the pictures I've seen of the car, maybe when I see it in real life the car will look better to me.

It's the ski bag... Apparently it's removable. If you look into that opening, you can sort of make out the trunk floor.

I liked these pictures a lot, the E90 is looking really good. I think the new M3 is going to be I think I just might trade in the 04 330 and get one after they've been out for a year or two.

I don't mind the fold down seats in my E46 but the ski bag is useless. I was just gonna get the butt warmers but now the CWP is on the agenda.

Forgot to note that it looks like the rpm segments at the upper rev range indicate engine temperature like they do on other models.

Boring is good ... it won't attract the police.
