Crunchy Lumbar

So I love my car to death, but the seat is very strange. The lumbar support in the car is somewhat "crunchy" or "crinkly". It makes noise when I sit back in it for the first time or when I shift positions during a long drive.

I read up on it a little, and it's an inflatable bag, right? Is it some type of super crinkly plastic bag?

Anyone? Am I crazy?

You must be crazy. Mine is silent except when I'm fiddling with the setting. I can't imagine this would be a crinkly plastic bag. Rubber maybe?

If the car is still under warranty, you might have the dealer take a look and see if parts are rubbing in the seat.

The closest I can describe it is the same size and type of material as the insert sheets for 3-ring binders that hold floppy disks, on a felt backing.

You can see the "guts" in my lumbar DIY page here.

The inflatable pad is way inside the seat (leather / foam / heater wires / foam / pad):
