Bletooth Petition Status?

Does anyone know the status of the Bluetooth petition to ger BMW to get early 2004's retrofitted to handle bluetooth.?

Nope I have never gotten a responce hopefully I get one soon though that would be nice

I just got my 2004 X5 coded for the retrofit... (04/04). I'm almost certain that I saw your email to someone at BMW about the petition. The service manager was having a hard time getting answers from BMW tech and finally got a response. He showed me the long email chain that was forwarded by a manager or director of field technical services (Paul or Phil I think) , one of the email was from "Scott" with a 'calpoly.edu' email address. Was that you?

Hi Jeff,

What retro-fit are you speaking of here? Is there a retro-fit to enable the '04 TCU's to accept bluetooth connections with assist? If so, what is the TSB number... I have 2 04's I'd like to get "adjusted" ...

TSB 84 13 04 suggests that Stolen Vehicle Recovery has been added to the BMW Assist package too. (Information #7)

Is this just for the "newer TCU" units as well?

Does Model Year 2004 get screwed again?
