2005 ZHPs?

Does anyone have any idea how many ZHPs were produced for MY 2005, and what percentage of the 330is in 2005 are ZHPs?

I got the impression from my dealer that there were more 330i's with ZHP produced than 330i's with the regular Sport Package produced this year. Take that for what its worth, but I do know that E46 330i ZHP's are beginning to dwindle so if you're looking for one, start lining it up now or you will be very limited on colors/options etc. I believe that the last e46 330i's are being produced in February and then production will be stopping.

No.. I already got mine a couple weeks back. It's just that it seems like all the 3 series that I see around are 325 or regular 330s. Don't seem to see too many ZHPs

They are still pretty rare here in Baltimore

I also heard that there were more personally ordered ZHP's in 2005 than ZSP's. I know I got one of the first, with a Serptember 4th 2004 start of production date, which, ironically, is my own birth date. In any case, haven't they stopped production of E46's already? Or are they building the coupes and convertables for the full model year.

About half of the 330s we order for open stock are ZHPs.

Well at least in the US there have to be less than any other country. Days go by and i dont see one on the road besides mine. Just imagine how rare they are, i went to Vegas for a week and i saw only 2 thats it. In Vegas i see everything from Rolls Royce Phantoms to Lamborghinis, Ferraris but just 2 330ZHP sedans.

Probably i saw one imola red sedan and the other one was a silver gray or black too dark to tell.

I've only seen two other ZHPs in New York. One was Imola Red and the other was Alpine White. I have one in Jet Black

Just imagine. All those suckers in the lambos and Ferraris WISH they had a badge (oh wait they dont even have a ZHP badge) as exclusive as yours.

I just try to ignore them. I'm not sure if its ignorance, jealousy or what but most ZHP-haters don't have one. I never see someone who owns one criticize them. The fact is that a 325, 330, and 330ZHP all have different HP, Torque, suspensions, etc. so I think its perfectly fine to say "my ZHP...." In fact, things like the 4000-5000 RPM "lag" problem seems to be specific to the ZHP so I just don't get why its a crime to refer to the car this way so that people know what you're talking about.

Its usually someone with a Sports Package car that got it just before they knew about the ZHP coming out....whatever, enjoy your ride and don't be a hater is what I say. If this were some $600 seat warmer package then I don't think it would be a big deal but a $4000 option that SIGNIFICANTLY changes the cars interior appearance, exterior appearance, and performance should be okay to mention when referring to your car.

The ZHP is a fantastic car. If you don't feel it's a good value, no problem. If you think BMW got some things wrong, fine. If you think you hate it, I think you want one... (After four years of owning a 325, and three test drives each of 330 sport and 330 zhp, I know I did!)

P.S. Why hate? I could perfectly understand from non-bmw owners(like FF) but to
get hated on by bmw owners? We have enough hating to deal with now we have to put
up with hating from our own make?

My Silver grey, ZHP just passed through the Panama Canal and is on its way to me in San Diego. My ZHP has the same options and colors as yours - how do you like the silver cube with the black leather? I can't sleep at night - I want my new car !!- should have it by the end of the month !!

All i can is that i love this car! I think the silvercube with black leather looks better than any other combo. Some may disagree and say the natural brown is better but i think the black leather looks perfect with the silvercube in a silver gray metallic. The other day i left the day open while i was vaccuming it and I just realized how well the exterior of the car blends in with the interior. Anyways i could only imagine the wait is a killer but it will be there soon.

I've only ever seen 2 other ZHPs since I've been on the lookout for them (a bit less then a year). I really would find it hard to belive that they are any significant portion of 3 series sales. 3 series are expenive enough...most buyers (I would think) are just trying to get their foot in the door (literally) - in buying the most affordable one. And many - if they were to spend their money - might opt for leather and some comfort features (sad i know...) - and I really don't think the ZHP is for everyone (ride is much firmer for one...and the cost factor)...but many BMW drivers are performance orientated (hurray for that!) - I think the much higher then average manual transmission rates certainly speak to that...so I guess its possible...still I haven't seen it on the road. I do see lots of folks doing a double take looking at my car. I think many do mistake it for an M3 (but maybe thats just because of the speeds I drive it! lol). And other BMW drivers certainly seem to show an interest...

Of all the 3ers sold in the UK since 2001, over 1/3 are Sport models. Of the six-cylinder cars sold in that time, 80% are Sport models, with 330Ci sales nearing 100% in Sport trim. ("Sport" means it looks like a 330i/Ci PP.) It's available with every engine and every bodystyle, and has no mechanical upgrades, so it's not directly comparable to the PP. But this might give you some idea of how popular it would be as an option package available on every car in the range (I am willing to bet the US "sport pack" is equally as popular).
