Trying to figure out E90 325 Options
Trying to figure out what I would want for a possible E90 325i. Currently I have a 2002 325i that is:
Orient blue on Gray Leather Steptronic Tranny HK Sound System Bi-Xenons Premium Pkg. Sports Pkg. I want something fairly close to this sans a steptronic transmission. However, what comes standard on the E90? Power moonroof? Power seats? Ipod connector? Anyone know? |

hey so since no one else jumped in yet. Lot's of discussions about each feature you mentioned and more through these forums, but I'll try to answer the specific ones you posted for a 325i.
Orient blue on Gray Leather : yes. though blue options are different I think? Steptronic Tranny : optional 6 speed HK Sound System: option, now better, is logic 7 Bi-Xenons: option, though with lenses that turn corners as you do (adaptive) Premium Pkg: option Sports Pkg: option with style 161 wheels (17s). Power moonroof? Standard Power seats? Option: included in Premium Ipod connector? Aux input standard. iPod your BMW connection optional. |

The actual options I'm looking at right now are:
325i with: Sparkling Graphite Metallic Paint or Monaco Blue Metallic Terra Cota or Black Leather(black looks so uninviting in this car) Definitely the Sports Package Definitely Xenons Definitely Premium Sound System 6 Speed Manual Transmission MAYBE Premium Package if it actually holds enough non-standard equipment that I want. Right now I'm trying to figure out if with 5500 down I can get relatively close to or below 440 to 450 a month on a lease. However, no one knows quite what prices are at and if there is plenty of standard equipment, then I might exclude the premium package from order. But this is still speculative, I might end up in a lightly used E46 330i as well. |

For that much down you could probably buy a brand new E46 330i right now. There is a huge marketing support (factory to dealer cash) going on now. it is $3800 according to edmunds.com

I've thought about getting a 330i and I love my current E46. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm still torn between what I want. I do like the E90s though and if I could, I'd have a E46 330 as a track car and cut-loose car with the E90 being more buttoned down for everything else. Time will tell what I get when my lease wraps up in May but I'm weighing my options right now.

I love my Orient Blue E46. However, it's a pain to keep clean. I know it's not as bad as black but it can be troublesome. That's what is pushing me to switch from blue to something like Sparkling Graphite. I saw it in person on an E46 coupe and loved it so if I end up with an E90 I'll probably go with that. Anyway, I'm off to search for the options list. Thanks for the insight.

Just to let you know that you can now download brochures for the E90 from BMW UK at: http://www.bmw.co.uk/apm/new_bmw/mi...Ek%253D,00.html Select "digital brochure to your desktop" and then Saloon (March 2005) from the droptown menu under bodystyle. |
