What is up with the sound system--E46???
I bought a 2001 325i E46 in May, and love the car-but not crazy on the pioneer/alpine stereo?? The base distorts and the amp is weak. Tweeter and friends have recommended jlaudio and/or mb quartz. would a subwoofer/amp upgrade create the powerful crisp sound i am looking for (professional install--not looking to rip up the car and I want to leave the dash in tact--head unit is fine)?? should the speakers be replaced too--not looking to spend tons of $$
any help appreciated. love the car--but for almost $25000--would expect a top of the line stereo to go with (i had excellent clarity in my BOSE/89 maxima!) also, having an xm delphi unit..with the antenna wire--best to take up the paneling next to the doors and bring the antenna to the trunk or best reception is on the roof?
