Back Seat

Does anyone know the dimensions for the back seat? I have 3 kids and need to transport them only occasionally. I am also seriously looking at the Acura RL and would use that as my comparison.

But then he/she would have four, definitely not enough room then

Three do not fit in the back of my 325i if car seats are used...maybe when they are older

I've got 2 kids (6, 11) and they fit fine in my 3 sedan. 3 kids also fit fine, but 3 adults (or large teens) would be a cramped ride. 1 adult (their grandmother) and the 2 kids are tight but not uncomfortable.

...and why doesn't BMW put a shoulder belt in for the middle rear? The last sedan I owned (Volve S70, before my late Z3) had them in 98...

My 2003 325i has a shoulder belt for the middle rear seat, I think '03 was the first year that BMW installed it

It was a option, together with the 3rd headrest, but became standard later

i have a dealer e90 booklet.

reat seat dimensions are as follows...

-roof to rear seat cushion= 37.5 inches
-rear seat elbow room = 55.1 inches
-rear seat legroom will be about 1 inch more than the e46. (not really much but better than nothing)

as you already know, the acura rl and tl have MUCH MORE rear seat room. i would only compare the tl to the 5-series and the rl to the 7-series. the 3-series is more like the tsx in terms of dimensions.
