Prices drop on 330??? Strange stuff on the UK configurator page

I tried configuring a 330i SE (March 2005) edition (which I am pretty sure is the E90 going by the hp numbers) on the UK web site. When choosing the car to buid on the table the 330i SE saloon and 330i sport saloon both show a base price of 28,250 and 30,350 pounds respectively. The 330i SE (March 2005) shows 28455 pounds. Now as I am typing this I am thinking maybe 330i Sport saloon means the sport package and hence is around 2000 pounds more expensive than the 330i SE saloon. So I guess I should compare the 330i SE saloon and 330i SE Saloon (March 2005) .i.e. 28250 vs. 28455 which is about 0.007% price increase. Hope this pricing difference flows into the US as well!!!

That's right. The new car is but a few hundred pounds more expensive than the old, if at all. It's not quite 0.007%, though - it's 0.7%. Cars lower down in the range are quite a bit more expensive, by the way (the new 320i and 320d are nearly £1,000 more than their predecessors).

(The UK E46 "Sport" model is not the same as the US "sport" package, by the way.)

We build the E46 and will start building the E90 here in South Africa soon

Our prices increased and average of 5% for the E90
