It's 2009 e91 328xi with MT. I have heated seats and front and rear sensors. Manual seat adjustments. There are only 300 manual gearbox e91's in the US. I have 111k miles but all highway. I also have rims that I could throw in.
If you want just to price that one thing and if you like to sell it that is another. The most critical would be if you have detailed maintenance and repair records - otherwise it could be an expensive deal it you have only done minimum. And not sure how much value it has that these are highway miles - any proof of that? It is 7 years old car so average you made ~16k miles/year (50 miles rt daily commute?)
If you have maintained it according to Mike Miller's schedule and car is in excellent condition, new tires , brakes etc - you may find somebody willing to pay premium for it otherwise it is $13k car
You can price it according to KBB, CL or put it on eBay and see what you can get
Keep in mind what is the market value of anything - it is the price which a willing seller is going to sell it for to the willing buyer..
Well, kbb is recommending 13k but everything on kbb is alittle underestimated. Idk about your zip code but here, e46 m3's should be like 5k according to kbb. So I'm guessing I could ask for more.
you can always ask whatever you like and the reality is only one - If I want this car and can't buy it for my price elsewhere - I have to pay what it takes to get it..
Ah ..there is a second rule I use - never hurry as there is always a better deal around the corner... I can even spend $500 and fly to different state rather than paying $2k over "my reasonable price"
When I shop for used car, I use KBB only as ref and check all other options - CL, Cars.com, autotrader etc..
For KBb pricing I assume that I can buy car which is dealer maintained , still has little brakes and tires life and is in good shape.. and I plan to add lets say $300-500 for new tires, $1k for my favor color combo, little bit for installed equipment I desire etc . So bottom line is that I have some room to pay extra if I get extra.
When I sell my car - I want to sell it and not have it for sale forever with prohibitive price hoping for that super deal - I just want to get rid of it and usually wont fight or brake sale over couple hundred bucks and usually first serious and reasonable buyer gets it. And I am maintenance fanatic and have all the records so people usually pay me a little extra but get more what they pay for.
+1 for around 13k .... If it is a clean Carfax... if yes print it and show it... Also if the car is heavily modded than your audience is considerably reduced...
This is a $13k-14k car. I just took a look on autotrader for similar specs, years, and mileage. The wagon factor is a plus for a few soulmates out there, and a minus for the majority of buyers.
If you want to wait for a soulmate, post it on the forums for $17k OBO and see what happens. Most likely a year will go by and you'll still have the car, but maybe someone bites.
Well I'm hoping there might be a gear head who will want to purchase a stick wagon at bimmerfest so I'm going to have a for sale sign on it at the show. I'm in no rush to sell but I hope to get rid of it a bit after bimmerfest
Come up with a number you think it's worth then 1/2 that amount and that will be your selling price. Never forget asking and selling are never the same.
