Bluetooth Question

Hello,
I have 05' X5 and bluetooth with Compatible Phone ready.
but I still have a question.. (I've researched some infos on X5World)
http://www.bimmernav.com/pdf/BT_Pairing_05.pdf
from that instruction, it says

E46 (3 Series)/E53 (X5)
1.If the vehicle is equipped with Navigation, ensure that the warning message has been answered on the
Board Monitor screen by pressing the large control knob.
2.Using SSS or GT1 with CD39.1 or higher, select Coding/Programming.
3.Select (3) ZCS/FA Coding.
4.Select E46 or E53 as applicable.
5.Select"Retrofit".
6.Page down and select "Bluetooth Telephone".
7.On confirmation screen asking if correct, select "YES".
8.Complete the coding per the onscreen instructions.
9.Exit from coding and check the functionality of the system.

Do i need to bring my car to dealer to use SSS or GT1 with CD39.1 or higher to select Coding/Programming?
(I don't see that menu under my Nav. Comp?)
or I just simply can pair my things as like this? http://x5world.net/2005_bt_pairing.htm

Thank you!

Thank you!

You should be able to pair your phone without having the dealer to code your bluetooth module. It has worked for the majority of people who did this retrofit. However there are a couple who claim that coding the system made their bluetooth connection better somehow. The coding has to be done by the dealer...this is not something you can do at home. I had mine coded after the installation (just 'cos my vehicle was at the dealer for other work,) but I really didn't notice any difference.
