How to easily calibrate the steering angle sensor in Tool32

So I figured out a way to easily calibrate the steering angle sensor in Tool32 in less than 10 seconds. Like many people who've had their ABS pump or mod replaced I had the DSC light that wouldn't turn off because the steering angle sensor needs to be calibrated. I spent literally 2 entire days trying to get DIS to work but couldn't. So I started looking around in Tool32 and luckily I read German. After much digging and trial and error I figured out how to calibrate the steering angle sensor in 2 steps.

First load up Tool32 obviously.

Then open the group file DSC57.PRG (this is the group file for the e39's DSC)

Scroll down the jobs list and double click "test_lenkwinkel"

That's it. Done. The test will calibrate your steering angle sensor in less than 10 seconds. You're finished. "Lenkwinkel" means "steering angle" by the way.

There you go guys. Hope this helps someone.

Took like 2 seconds. but i waited to make sure but nothing happened. By the way this was on windows 10 using the 6.4 ediabas and inpa 3.4 versions. But of course ill have to reinstall the newer ediabas/inpa as it worked fine on windows 10 except the coding tools or see how can i get two installs on the same machine or just update inpa maybe?

Yea the newer version had the .exe listed as "tool32" while the older one used "ediabas tool32"

Let me see if i can link the older version

I guess I'm not smart enough to understand what to do. I see there's a run job once option. But, does this mean before hand I put steering wheel dead center and then run the job once? I cannot make any sense of the output. And I didn't hear any noise like was reported with INPA, which I can't use for the version in Mike bundle and the e39. (If anyone knows what versions of INPA work for the E39 steering wheel calibration, let me know.)

I have another question. In INPA for the E46, it suggests that three things need to be calibrated when swapping an ABS module. Steering wheel, pressure, and acceleration. Is it really ok to ignore other two things?

Here's another steering angle reset write-up, which is for E46, but covers the E39's Bosch 5.7 DSC unit.
