E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

rough acceleration

What it does: when either accelerating moderately, or going uphill, it acts almost like theres bad gas, or the fuel filter is clogged with grape jell or something...
If I really get my foot into it, it takes off!

What's ben done recently: New air filter/fuel filter/spark plugs/gas treatment.
I've owned this only for a short time & it's so far not run really well, I believe.

Year: 1987
Engine: 2.7L
Trans: manual 5 speed
Miles: 140,000

Cheers & thanks!!
Rich

is the engine hesitating or is it still winding up fine and the car just won't accelerate?

have you troubleshooted for vacuum leaks? most engine roughness with these motors are a result of a vacuum leak.

Its probably the 02 sensor. If you have bad acceleration, hesitating ,then my guess is the o2 sensor in your exhaust. When was the last time you replaced it?
