02 330ci After Accedent
I bought a 2002 330ci. It was in a minor front hit. The driver side airbag deployed and now the car won't start. The dash lights work and some of the electical in the car works but it will not turn over. I contacted the dealer and he told me the main ground wire from the trunk had to be replaced at a cost of $1,300.00. Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter. If I could get it started it would make fixing it a whole lot easier.

Have the car towed to one of your Insurance companies recommended repair shops.

There's a small explosive device that separates the starter solenoid from the starter motor in the event of a collision.

I did some more reserch and it looks like there is a battery Safety Terminal(BST) That is located at the battery and disconects the power to the starter. It does not appear to cut off the fuel and it looks like it can be temp reconected to get the car going. If anyone has any more insight please let me know all the help is greatly appreciated.
