Please help with BLUETOOTH!

I need help re-syncing my iPhone through Bluetooth to my 2005 BMW X5...
I set it up last year and have the pass key and it has been working fine but I believe after my battery died and got jumped everything reset, the temperature reset to Celsius instead of farenheit the time changed and everything so I went to my local BMW dealership and they want me to spend $130 on a reset but I figured out how to do the reset on you tube first I took out the spare tire lifted it up took out the Bluetooth modulator waited a couple minutes and plugged it back in but it didn't work so then I reset the battery kept them off the terminals for 30-40 minutes put them back on and still nothing.. Or maybe I'm not connecting it the right way cause I remember when I first did it I couldn't just start the car and go to my Bluetooth and find it I had to press and hold buttons and stuff so if anyone can just give me the steps I would use to make this work please do so. Thank you! I keep seeing so many ways of doing it but none of them ring any bells from when I first synced it I know there has to be a way.. Please help!!

If your build date is from 10/04-up...and you have the BT that was installed from the factory because you had the premium pkg as outlined in the info below...then see the following instructions on how to pair. My 06 4.4 ly required te istructions below...tere was no eed to push any buttons in the vehicle...but I also didn't have a built in phone or phone cradle:

TIP: KL R = ignition position 1 & KL 15 = ignition position 2
