Setting Interior lights '05 330 ? - Bimmerfest

I reset the default so the interior lights don't come on when the door opens. THen my wife hits the dome button to look for something next time the door opens it's like a disco. Can the door open/lights off setting be permanently set? Thanks, J

You can set the lights to be permanently off by holding the centre button in for 3 sec. But subsequently turning the interior lights on then off again appears to cancel this setting, and it returns to the default open-on operation. Suggest to your wife that she uses the reading lamp buttons instead - these don't have any effect on the dome light setting.
