First time 3 series buyer

I am currently thinking about purchasing a 325i or 325xi for my wife. I was just wondering what kind of resale value they have, and on average, how long do people keep them for? Please help me!!! I want to take advantage of the current $3800 off the current 3 series!!!

I would wait for the new one. Whatever you save today you will see reflected in the selling price tomorrow and then some.

The extra savings is good for those people that really like the current design, and plan to keep the car a long time. if I was in that boat, I would probably jump on a 330i.

I've considered dumping my 03 for just that reason. I love the 05s and so far the 06s don't get my motor running.

Just FYI, the $3800 is the Jan/Feb incentive for 330i sedans (the current 330i sedan incentive is something like $4200). The current 325i and 325xi sedan incentives are something like $2500 and $1500, respectively (these prices are for California, but probably apply to most, if not all, of the country).

For more info, see the incentives at Edmund's:

People will be keeping them for a long time.

Pricing is really good and you can get a BMW extended warranty and extended maintenance which I don't believe any other manufacturer has. That means that for 6 years or 100,000 miles all you have to concern yourself with is tires.
