Bimmerfest Opportunity Drawing (i.e. charity raffle)

As you know, the Bimmerfest Event is a non-profit happening geared towards the celebration of our beloved brand. The event is free to attend for all participants, as well as for our sponsors. Our sponsors do, however, donate valuable products to be raffled off in our "Opportunity Drawing" for the attendees - the proceeds from which are then reconveyed to a local non-profit agency. This year, the agency selected will be Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara.

Our mission is to strengthen and to advocate for families and individuals of all ages thereby creating a strong community.

Strengthening Santa Barbara County Families for Over 100 Years!

FSA is Santa Barbara County's first and oldest non-profit human service agency. Its programs help people help themselves. FSA services prevent family breakdown, intervene effectively where problems are known to exist and help individuals and families build on existing strength. Family Service Agency programs are available throughout Santa Barbara County. We offer programs addressing the unique concerns of youth, individuals, couples and seniors.

Whatever the problem- lack of basic necessities, family violence, isolation, depression or threat of suicide, marital problems, parenting difficulties or children who are at risk- FSA can make a fundamental difference in people's lives. Services are offered to people of all ages on a sliding-fee scale and many are free with the help of generous businesses, corporations, foundations and individuals.

Helping seniors and persons with disabilities remain in their own homes with independence and dignity.

Resource and Referral Programs

Providing helpful information and human service referrals.

In years gone by, the proceeds from raffle ticket sales have gone a long way to help those in need. In 2003, the Bimmerfest Community raised a great sum of money for the non-profit AOK program (Afterschool Opportunities for Kids). This year we hope to do significantly better than that!

About an hour ago I got off the telephone with Tim Pak of Wheelpower
who just committed to about $5000 worth of goodies to donate to the
Bimmerfest Opportunity Drawing!



First off, Wheelpower will be donating a set of Hamann HM3 Light Alloy Wheels. Whoa!!

Other items provided by Wheelpower include:

• RadEnergy Strut Brace for E46 ($595 retail value)
• Set of H&R Coilovers for any BMW ($1,600 retail value)
• Set of H&R Springs for a BMW M3 ($370 retail value)

This may just be the COOLEST thing about Bimmerfest. Non profit and helping the community at large. What a new, refreshing concept! Most people would put something together like this for no reason other than to make money for themselves. It feels GOOD to be a part of something positive.

Hats off to Bimmerfest! I think we've GOT something here!

very cool of you to do this Jon and the rest of the Bimmerfest team, always good to donate money to an organization...i just helped out Make A Wish organization make a child's wish come true (to go to Green Bay, meet the GB Packers, and Brett Favre), and its always good to help an organization that does something good for the community

You know, I do remember your delivery day following the event in 2001.
Doc, I can't believe that was 4 years ago... Wow!!

I would love to figure out a way to make the Opportunity Drawing open to
everyone. The only problem with that is administration. I would have to be
the person to coordinate and execute everything myself, and I'm afraid that
I am already at the maximum level of involvement that I can possibly handle.
With less than 3 weeks remaining, my internal CPU usage is redlined...


I'll give it some thought. I do appreciate your desire to support our
worthy cause...
