Cannot find the thread on adjusting the chair rail of my 2000 540 sport seats for additional leg room. Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean this one, removing the clip so the seat can go further back?

Move your drivers seat all the way forward
right in the seat rail you will see a metal clip - pull it out with needle nose pliers this gives you around 1.5-2 inches of additional leg room |
