what's up with the green and blue tinged tints

The tint isn't specific to BMWs but I have seen an older e36 m3 with some highly reflective tint with a tinge or green. I've also seen some cars with blue tinged tinting. Are these tints the ceramic I keep hearing about?

Mine has a blueish tint.. I was wondering the same thing...Is it the tint or does it have something to do with BMW's in general? The tint on mine is Madico and was installed by the dealer...

While we're on the subject... what's up with Mercedes tinting their windows so blue? I've seen so many of these (seems like almost all new CLK's) I assume it's factory tinting. I think it looks strange; I don't know if the effect driving it looking out is good or bad.

Eh - just ordered a C230K for my wife, and I noticed the window sticker says "blue window tinting" - so it's a factory deal. I'm not too fond of it.
