Adding driver door kick panel (aftermarket parts?)

Has anyone added a driverside door kickpanel? Any advice?
I'd like to add a rubber protection strip or similar.

Since I have large, typically muddy feet, daily I seem to be scratching and dropping all kinds of gunk onto the driver-side door lower panels.

My other cars have nicely padded panels which don't have lower pockets so they don't collect the crud and mud & scratch as much as my light-colored interior BMW seems to.

Has anyone added driver side doorway kick panels?
Any ideas for suppliers?

Note:
I ran a search (of course) but the keywords are so generic that I wasn't able to find anything useful.

Seriously, I know of no aftermarket "scuff pad" option, but you could have an upholstery shop make you up some little carpeted pads that cover up the affected area... hold them on with high quality velcro for easy washability... I have the same problem in my 325Ci (but I don't wear hiking boots in it... )

Thanks for the "scuff pad" search hint!

I re-ran the search for "scuff pad" and found this thread:

where at least one enthusiast says euro option "door panels have no annoying storage space? I scuff mine alost every time I get out of the car in the garage."

For the record, here is what these anti-scuff euro door panels look like:

You mentioned you needed something to protet your car door

Hi, I think I have something that can help you or anyone who has the same concern about preventing scuffing or other damage to the interior door panel. It's called The DOORKICK and I invented it in 2004 because I needed it too. I have a 325i 2001 BMW and I use The DOORKICK because I love my car and I kick my door open everyday. It will fit in any BMW or any other cars. I have 2 kids and my hands are always full so I needed a "hands free" type of thing.

I'm actually looking for the Dirtiest Car Door photo. I thought it would be fun to see your scuffed and dirty doors and announce a winner of the "DIRTIEST CAR DOOR". I'll post the winning photos on 7/1/08 and send 2 winners a free DOORKICK. You can go to the website and check it out. www.thedoorkick.com. I think it will be lots of fun!

i believe these door mods are not for scuff protection but designed as speaker upgrades, a company in europe makes these things i believe this one is for the z3M and it adds 4 speakers to the door. they do make them for the e39 i believe and they add 3 speakers or something like that. as for scuff protection looks sturdy to me
