Solo2 : Providing a Factory Service Manual

I need to purchase a "Factory Service Manual" to have on hand in case I get protested at a Tour or Pro this year.

My question is, does the Bentley Service Manual qualify as a "Factory Service Manual"?

If so, I found the "BMW 3 Series (E46) Service Manual: 1999-2001", but my car is a 2003 MY. Is there a service manual that covers up to 2003? If not, if I purchase the manual that's titled 1999-2001 will the SEB still consider it a "Factory Service Manual" even though my car is a 2003 MY?

TIA!!

When I bought my car, it was an SCCA T2 car. The previous owner had to do the same thing, but what he did was get a copy of what the techs used to put in the micro-fiche machines in the shop to look at how to repair stuff - So maybe the equivalent of the TIS. So in the log book, I actually carry around a copy of that ridiculous set of micro-fiche slides - but it was enough for the inspector to stamp him off.

Having the TIS available on disk with at the events may be enough to satisfy the requirement.

if you have an older car you can acquire the CD by legitimate means

newer car by illegitimate means

however, it's generally accpted as not being readily available to the public, in which case you can offer to let them view it online:

Yeah, but most of the Porsche guys probably have the money - in fact, they would probably not consider themselves real Porsche guys unless they paid that kind of money for it

I have a 1986 Porsche 911 (and a 2004 330Ci) and I was able to get the factory manuals new for much less than $200. If you have ever seen these manuals you would know that they are incredible and worth it. They are some of the best manuals I've seen. You could build a car from the ground up with one of these sets.
