Sports package wheels
It seems that there are 2 different wheel selections for the Sport Package.
The common one is the 5 (fat) Star looking 17" wheel. I've recently seen a different one. Appears to be an 18" wheel (not the ZHP, which is SWEET). It's a different oneThe vehicle I'm looking to buy has this one. Personally, I like the 17" more. I tried to attach it. What is the tire size on this vehicle? Does it have the 55 in the back? Would BMW let me swap it out for the 17" one? |

style 72M v-spoke wheel.
front 8 x 18 with 225/40R-18 tire rear 8.5 x 18 with 255/35R-18 tire Not sure what you mean by "swap." You can buy these wheels at the parts counter of a dealership. Edit: OK, I think I understand. You're interested in a used car that has these wheels on it and you wonder if the dealership might swap these for a set on another used car. They might... can't hurt to ask...

Right, you got it.
I want to swap them out for either the 17" 235/45, or the 17" sport for the 325i. |

Anyone have a pic of a 3 w/ these wheels (style 72M v-spoke wheel).
That is better than the one I posted? Side view or something? |

Why don't you just take the car with the m72 wheels (the ones already on the car)? They were an expensive option and you can always sell them later to recuperate your money. I have also seen very few people with the m72 compared with every other 330 with the m68... although the m68 is one of the best wheel designs in my opinion.

I had M68's and bought a set of 18" M72's for $1200 off a board member.....Then I sold the M68's on Ebay for $1100 !!.
No offense - but the M72's might look a little strange on a 325 because they were not available on that car. |

I didn't realize it was a rare one till I read this post. Just thought they were really neat looking wheels. One thing to remind you though, these wheels get dirty REALLY FAST. The design really sucks up all the dirt off the road. I figured that I'd have to wash them at least twice a week to keep them look clean. edit: Now I recalled dealer mentioning these wheels were a $1900 option. I simply took it as a sales pitch and didnt actually believe him at the time. Last edited by startover; 03-26-2005 at 11:39 PM. |

Wow. I'd say those are at least a thousand times better looking than M68 wheels. I *hate* the M68's. I can't believe some people actually like them. Then again, some people like white-chocolate, which I know to be the universe's most potent manifestation of evil. |

wheels
yeah, I agree on the wheels. I actually had to look long and hard (bought my car used) to find them. I don't like the standard wheels found on the 3s with the sports package at all.
