Welcome to Bimmerfest! I've moved your question to our F30 3 Series forum, you'll get more help with your BMW in here. Are you sure that is the right code? How did you get it?

Tim

F30 N20 2013 BMW 328i with a P126B Code

My sedan BMW 2013 328i has the same code, P126B with check engine light on and "Drivetrain malfunction: Drive moderately. Maximum drivetrain output not available. Consult service center." The only thing I've noticed on the car is the loss of acceleration. I've pressed the pedal so hard with little acceleration. Seems like the sport mode is not working anymore. I have replaced a fuel pressure sensor AND a manifold pressure sensor but with no luck.

I've been searching and come across two descriptions: The first one is P126B - Alternative Fuel Injector Driver Supply Voltage Circuit 2 and the second one is Turbocharger boost pressure sensor - the signal is low (Translated from a Chinese website.) Now, I'm really exhausted and don't know what to do with it. I have an emissions test due soon.
do you have more than 50K miles on this car? If not, have you taken it to the dealer?

Update: A standard scan tool used on a BMW with a trouble code P126b is caused by a faulty wastegate actuator. I got a wastegate actuator replaced and the problem was fixed.

I'm having the same issue here. Did you replace the Wastegate Actuator yourself? or did the dealer do it for you? Also how did you find out it was a faulty actuator?

I got the check engine light and the indie I work with told me it was the wastegate actuator and it is almost $900 to replace. He cleared the code and the check engine light and it seems to run ok, but he said he can't guarantee it won't show up again. He did not think I could cause damage to the engine by continued running of the engine, but what is the experience in this forum? Is it worth the $900 repair? Does that cost sound reasonable? He is using BMW parts.

It was the Electric Wastegate that gave me the issue. I actually bought that wastegate on ebay from an X1. It was the same part number and it fit perfect, now my code disappeared and it has not been back on for a few months. Fyi I bought the used wastegate for $60 and installed it myself.

I bought mine from an online BMW website for $284.64 + $22.95 (tax) = $307.57. Seems like the price goes up now. You can find a cheaper one on Ebay. Part number: 11657638783.
