Nav Question - Map screen

Is there a quick way to get back to the map? If I hit the "menu" button to check maybe the OBC, when I'm done I have to hit Menu again, choose GPS Navigation. Often it brings me back up to the route planning menu and I have to scroll down to map. Isn't there a 1-touch option or something to get me to the map faster? (And yes, I know about the button that toggles between the radio and the computer/GPS screens).

Thanks

I don't know if the bluetooth module in the '05s is the same as the one you could put in older models. I have an '04 and had the BMW Assist module taken out and replaced with bluetooth. One of the things that comes along with my bluetooth module is limited voice command, so I can press the button and say "route map" and presto! its back to the map view.

I am also frustrated by this - also I would like to see a route list.... the other day there was an accident on my commute, I selected the "alternative route option" but could not tell if the Nav system was going to direct me to a major road work in the area.......

You can get a route list. Under the Information menu, I believe. I would have to run out to the car to check.

There is a route list for sure. I'm not 100% as to where it is. But after you change your program I think you have to click on "information" then one of the options is route list.
