Is your car a convertable? Because otherwise the battery is in the trunk and you should take the lead off of that unless you're running an insanely huge stereo.

? its a 500w(music power) sound set up,iam running the amp off the main battery(the one in the engine bay) and the amp in the trunk,i got a big a s s gold plated glass fuse at the battery end of the car so if any thing shorts it blows that fuse,my car is not a soft top,i need to no were to feed the wire from the battery and into the car? ill work it out but if someone else has done it it would save me time and frustration. all my others cars there has been a bulk head rubber gromit were all the electrics wires feed into the car so were is it on the 1991 e36???

hi mate if you take off your fuse box cover in the engine bay you will see a large amount of wires going through the bulkhead.
thats your access point. it might be a bit tight if your using substantial power cable, i used a long screwdriver as a guide, i taped the cable to the screwdriver and carefull pushed it in. hope that helps you. |

Thats just the awnser i wanted
i know what u mean about using a screw driver as a feeder/guider, ive done this on countless cars, on my R.S cosworth i used to own the hole was so tight i went to the chemist and brought some KY jelly as vasoline was not good enuff it was very embrassing at the time buying it but worth it. i think i do got some in one of my tool boxes Thanks M8, sometimes the mebers from the u.s dont understand what i was askin as we have a diffrent vocab? Cheers .
