I have a 1994 325ic and after storing in garage over winter it now appears that there is oil under the front end. I bought car in August of last year (first BMW) and stored it in garage and didn't notice any oil leakage then. I put in garage in Nov and began driving my other car. Not a huge amount of oil out there but a thin puddle. My father says it may be a gasket that experienced shrinkage and has leaked over the winter storage. I was planning to take it in but my dad suggests checking oil and if not low then driving for at least a week to see if gasket will seal again. He says I could check after driving a bit for any additional oil leakage during the week. Any thoughts on this approach?

Seems like a reasonable plan.
