Anybody drove the new 525i model yet?

I was just wondering if anyone has gotten the chance to try out the new 525i with 215hp????? I might be in the market for a new car, the 525i, and 530i are my first picks. I went to the BMW website today, notice that the new 525i arrived before the new 530i, they should have brought both models at the same. Looks kinda weird that the bigger engine only has 10hp+. LOL !

I drove one yesterday. It is tollerable now (tip non-sport), no more dead spot in the power. My salesman thought it felt like the old 528i from the passenger seat. Get one with a manual and sport and it will ROCK!!!

i currently have a 528i, the horsepower in't the issue for me it feels more powerful than it really is and its a 5 speed automatic. I am thinking of either a 525i, or a 530i, and a maybe a 330i. When i do buy a new car, im going to keep the 528i as a secondary car. I went to the site today, and built a 525i, and 530i with all the packages. Stupid things i noticed in the 525i i couldn't get headlamp washers, and sport seats standard with the sports pkg, and the only options that come with the premium pakage are Interior Auto Dimming Mirror, Dakota Leather. That costs $2,800, I would pay a $1,000 more for a Adaptive headlights, Harman/Kardon Logic 7 Sound System which cost extra. The basic MSRP was $58,000 which is good but with all the options except navigation that lader went up to $69,090. I am glad BMW has the xenon headlights standard on this model. For the 530i, even though if u spend about $9700 for all the packages except navigation, u still have to buy Headlamp washers, Lumber support, SPORT SEATS, Ventilated seats, and adaptive headlights separtely which makes the lader exceed the $80,000 mark which is stupid. Bmw used offer such good packages in their car, and now you gotta pay a premium for options that should have been standard anyways. whats the deal with BMW and sport seats why don't they just make it standard in all sport packages, headlamp washers should have been standard with models. common it is a luxury afterall.

you ought to be able to get a reasonably optioned 525 for around 50k. 69k 80k these dont sound right to me..

i actually think if there is value to be found in the 5 series it is the 525. better fuel economy. you still get the looks, the handling and the safety..you just dont get the larger engine...good luck
