2006 530 Price Negotiation
For those of you who have ordered your 2006 530's, did you pay sticker price or were you able to negotiate? This is not for ED but just ordering through dealership. Also, any recommendations for Washington DC dealers?
Thanks in Advance |

Hey...I've been away for a while, so, I will not comment on price. I got my 528 in the range of $1200 over invoice, but that price is pretty rare. If you buy in our area, PLEASE either buy from Michael Fastman at VOB (very nice guy who married my 4th grade teacher & I feel guilty I didn't purchase from him), or Joern Esser at Passport (very nice guy as well). They both are good with pricing, and will definitely give a pleasurable buying experience. Personally, I always purchase from Russell in Catonsville, but they have a new manager now and I'm not so sure how generous this person is. |

Joern Esser at Passport... he is more than fair on price.

Just Bought mine 2 weeks ago from BMW of Fairfax
Brand New 2005 530i with Navigation, Comfort Pkg, PDC, Climate Pkg, etc.. for $5000 below MSRP. I know it has a lot to do with the 2006 530i with new engine coming out. Apart from the HP in the engine, everything else is the same, so I rather get the 2005 for $5000 less....

Why would you pay more for a 2005 530i than you would for a 2006 525i. The new 525i will have almost as much power and will be a year newer when you sell it. If you are leasing there is a case for the 2005 for now. |

BMW of Fiarfax VA
Ask for Assad. They only had few 2005 525i and 530i left.
You should still call and find out. |

My dealer would only give me $1,000 of MSRP for me (me being a repeat order customer of theirs), but this was just the beginning of the negotiation).

My second BMW (2005 545i) went much better at 1500 over euro invoice. Tack on probably a grand to go to Europe for 5 days (plane, gas, hotel, food, etc.) and I'm still way ahead. ED, even if you can only stay there for a day or two, is absolutely the best way to buy a BMW.
