If you do not have Assist it should be easy self install.

Yes you can, lots of good information if you do a search. This was discussed within the last few weeks. Technic is the master.

He gave me this info:

The part number for the latest (03/05) BT ULF module ends with 6 955 522. The installation instructions are here... http://www.bimmernav.com/pdf/E46_installation.pdf

Parts should run about $450 and 3 hours for installation at around $300. I installed mine myself and helped a friend install his. It is all plug and play, no cutting of wires. It is time consumming to disassemble the handbrake console area as well as the trunk area but I enjoy doing that kind of stuff so I did not mind doing it.

Yes

I did it yesterday. I have a '05 330CI, ZHP, NO ASSIST, NO PREMIUM PKG.

I got my kit from advancedautovations.com. Works great. I have a Siemens S55 phone and it paired up almost immediately.

One note*** For my '05 (Production date Sept. 04) There are a few things in the instructions that DO NOT apply to you.

1) There was already a microphone in my car

2) The SES Jumper Plug was already in my car

3) There is a section in the instructions about pulling out wires at pins 7 & 8 at the connector harness in the trunk. There was NO wires at those pins in my car. Maybe BMW realized it wasn't needed and decided to save us the hassle.

4) Getting behind the lining in the left rear well is a PAIN IN THE ASS. There are black platics plugs holding it in and they are difficult to remove. There are special tools just for this and I would recommend it!! You can to it with a flathead screwdriver, but the "heads" of these plugs are very weak and you have to be careful not to break them. ALTHOUGH they are very tough to pull out. Making sense? It will.
