pulled the trigger

After months of trials and tribulation, it is done. I first drove a SLK350 and loved the cockpit and hardtop convertible feature, but wasn't thrilled about the (lack of) acceleration. I test drove a 335i, and was pretty damn happy with the handling and performance but I couldn't find a CPO with all the options I wanted.

Ran across a 2005 M3 (low miles), test drove it, and the decision was made. Can't wait until Friday to pick it up.....
Pics will certainly follow ASAP.

Congrats on the purchase; Coupe or Convertible? What color? What options?

Happy motoring.

nice choice. I test drove several 335s, and bought the M3. No regrets

Good choice! I can't wait to see pics. I purchased a 335i earlier this year, but when I had a chance to get an 04 M3 I jumped on it and don't regret it!

thanks!

It's a 2005 M3 convertible, silver gray/gray, 6MT, Nav, Sport, Premium, Xenon, ZCW. In the shop getting checked out today, in for detailing on Thurs, and (pending my final inspection/approval) comes home on Friday!

I'll post pictures ASAP.

Future plans:
DICE iPod integration. Number one on the list.
I may or may not upgrade the audio...probably wait till spring to see how the existing system sounds with the top down.
(big maybe, and way down on the priority list) replace Al trim with wood. I want to mock it up in Photoshop or GIMP to see how it would look first. I'm one of those folks that think a European car should have proper wood trim!!

Snow tires/wheels...probably not; plans are to leave the M at home those days and take the YJ into work.
