rear window switch
Sorry if this is a re-hash of a previously discussed topic.
I didn't have this thought with the 4 door e46 last year, but with the coupe, I love the auto-down feature of the rear window vents. I worry though that I might accidentally leave the window open at times. Also, it's tough to discern weather a window is left slightly ajar at times. It would be actually more helpful if the switch was inverted to function as auto-close, and manual open. This way, I wouldn't worry about closing it completely. I know it's a safety mechanism in place to protect fingers and tongues, but I would be better served with my suggestion. I remember alee switch the steptronic around (+ and -) to suit his style. How much trouble to switch the rear window switch around?

Rear Window Wings
Yeah, I have had same problem from the time of delivery. Mean to attempt a wedge under switch like a popsicle stick. No way to disable as it is tied in with door windows and other. What I do do frequently is pull up on the switches all of them at times while driving to ease my mind. Also when an 18 wheeler is nearby, you can sure hear him if the wing is cracked open. I liked the door switches on my 528 better by far.

Closes complete in 5 seconds (I timed it). Just count to 5 while holding it.
I wish it had just an auto-close as it does the auto-open when the button is pressed once! |

5 sec on rear wing
Gamn ole Rip why didn't I think of that. Oh well that's what this Bimmerfest Line is for.
By the way, the moss has done gone where I live. Temp on computer to-day reached 100 F. The Bimmer runs same as if it was 30 F. Great car. They do a pretty good job making these cars. From -50 F to the desert at what, about 125 F? |

Man... I have to count to 6 when waiting for mine to close ![]() I'd better take it in to the dealer and have those faster 5 second closers put in
